Pyjama dressing

To justify the title of this post, I would probably have needed to add a pair of long, fluid pants to the blouse instead of shorts. I had been searching for a wide-legged pair like Shini’s scarf print ones from my last post, but simply couldn’t find any that were pleasing enough. Time for a DIY? Sure, right after I get a sewing machine first! I couldn’t wait to pick up this blouse on sale, though. I just love the contrast piping, and just the idea of wearing a pyjama top at daytime seems highly desirable to me.

Scarf print fever

Ever since D&G designed their entire Spring 2012 collection with scarf prints, the wave seems to have spread. Scarf prints can be shopped for at major retailers like H&M all the way through to Net-a-porter. I love to see the tops, tunics and blouses on bloggers like Blair Eadie, but personally prefer to wear scarf prints on my lower body. I’m absolutely in love with the wide-leg pant of Shini Park, a DIY that just got featured in the latest H&M magazine.

Peppermint

One of my favourite places to buy fresh produce, flowers or to just stroll and watch people is the public market on Granville Island. It usually does get crowded by tourists easily, and most of them do wear the tourist uniform (you know, shorts, t-shirt and sneakers.) So when I walked down the boardwalk and crossed a middle-aged man yelling, “Why don’t you wear some sensible shoes!” I right away knew what he meant, looking at his wife’s worn-out Nikes. He couldn’t have meant mine by all means, as I did wear sensible shoes! From now on, I shall call my pumps “sensible shoes”, as they have just the perfect shape, right heel height and tippy nose.
